Can't see how being in hot water with KWP will affect the election. What the commissioner has or hasn't done that represents the best interest of the residents should be what matters. Just like the other candidate, what does each have to offer the residents? I haven't heard from either candidate on why I should cast my ballot for him or her. One would think by now they'd be debating the issues, mailing fliers and seeking votes.
Why should it be in the paper if he is in hot water with KWP? KWP might have issued him a citation but then again that wouldn't be in the paper unless he appeared in court or paid a fine in this county. Even so, not all court cases appear in the paper since it doesn't take much to keep them from being in print. I've been told that just a simple request can keep your name out of the court report.
Now if he was in hot water with KWP and his so called trouble with them fell under Title 50, Code of Federal Regulations, Part 20, Federal jurisdiction would apply and it would be handled in the federal court in Wichita. Once again not making the local paper.
